Great Lakes has their mentor's handbook online. Many of the guidelines and responsibilities are similar to several other schools I'm aware of. It might be useful to read it.

Yeah, problem I'm finding is that most of the "Interns" have to have someone in that field ... so if I wanted a summer youth minister I'd have to have one on staff etc.
Finding alot of Schools are doing it this way ....

That is a problem. I do know that the Youth Ministry program at Lincoln is now encouraging those majoring in YM to seek a part time position while in school. That's good if you live fairly close but not if you are far away.

In our searching for a school for the munchkin, we were very impressed with KCU's approach to teaching youth/children's minsitry.
